Frequently asked questions

Which cooking pots or pans can I use?

Only use pots and pans with a diameter of at least 12 cm and no more than 26 cm. Also make sure that you use pots and pans that are suitable for induction hobs. You can test this very easily. When you hold a magnet to the bottom of the cooking pot and it sticks, the pot is suitable for induction cooking.

What do I need to be aware of when using the induction cooking plate?

Never use the appliance with an empty pot or pan. Always place the pot or pan in the centre of the cooking zone. Never place metal objects such as forks, spoons, lids, aluminium foil, etc. on the cooking plate.

Are there any special considerations for the use of this device?

Persons with pacemakers should stay away from the device as soon as it is plugged in. If in doubt, always consult your doctor.

Is it normal to hear a noise?

When cooking on an induction hob, you may notice some noise. The noise varies from pot to pot and usually reduces after a few minutes of cooking.

Does the appliance have a keep warm function?

If you set the temperature of the appliance to between 60 and 70°C, you can keep your prepared dishes warm.

Can the appliance overheat?

No, the appliance has an overheating safety device.

How do I clean the induction cooking plate?

You can clean the cooking plate with a soft, damp cloth or sponge.  If the cooking plate is very dirty, you can use a special cleaner for ceramic cooking plates.  The appliance should never be immersed in water.  Always allow to dry completely.  Remove any dust in the air inlet and outlet with a cotton swab.

Can the plate of the induction cooking plate break?

The top plate is virtually unbreakable as it is made of tempered glass.

What are the advantages of induction?

An induction cooking plate is faster, safer and above all more energy efficient than a ceramic cooking plate.
