Extend the life of your device: 7 simple tips from our repair service

A device that lasts for years? It all starts with good use and proper maintenance. At FRITEL, we help you not only with innovative and durable products, but we are also happy to give you advice so you can enjoy them as long as possible. Our internal repair service is pleased to share its best tips.

1. Let the device cool completely before cleaning it

Heat + water = a bad combination. Always allow your device to cool down fully before starting to clean it. This prevents damage to the heating element or casing.

2. Do not use aggressive cleaning products

A mild soap and a soft cloth often work wonders. Abrasive sponges or harsh products can damage surfaces and shorten your device’s lifespan.

3. Remove crumbs and grease after each use

It seems obvious, but is often forgotten. Grease, food residue, or leftover crumbs can get stuck or even become a fire hazard. A quick clean after use = fewer problems.

4. Store detachable parts clean and dry

Do you have devices with removable plates or accessories (like the FRITEL waffle maker with 14 plates)? Be sure to keep them dry, dust-free, and in a fixed place. This way, they remain in good condition and you can find them easily.

5. Read the user manual (really 😉)

Many usage problems occur because people use a device in a slightly different way than intended. In our manuals, you’ll find tips, usage times, cleaning instructions… and often tips you hadn't thought of.

6. Use your device as intended

A deep fryer is not a soup blender, and an air fryer is not a clothes dryer. We sometimes see surprising ‘creativity’ in the kitchen — but believe us: using the device for its intended purpose ensures a much longer lifespan.

7. In doubt? Contact us!
