Due to the heat, the natural stone or salt stone expands, causing small cracks to appear. This is a natural phenomenon and does not affect the proper functioning of the unit.

Let the natural stone cool down completely first. Scrape away all residues from the stone with a scraper. Clean the stone in the sink under running water with a scouring pad (without detergent) and dry the stone immediately. If the stone is very dirty, you can make a solution of water and soda to clean the stone (do not soak it). The stone is NOT dishwasher safe, so NEVER put it in the dishwasher.
Also never put a hot stone under cold running water, this increases the risk of cracking or breaking.
