At FRITEL, we believe that sustainability is not the future, it is the present. In a recent interview with Voka, it was highlighted how we combine innovation and ecology to design household appliances that last, can be repaired, and are produced with respect for the environment.
Since we committed ourselves within the Voka Charter Sustainable Entrepreneurship, our operations are even more driven by concrete steps: energy accounting, CO₂ reduction projects, sustainable packaging, and a strong mindset shift within the team.
Our approach begins with ecodesign: we think from start to finish about the entire life cycle, avoid unnecessary material use, and opt for recycled or recyclable components wherever possible.
An important aspect: modularity. Components are interchangeable, appliances can evolve, and old and new models remain compatible. For example, with our latest WaffleTastic line: lighter materials, PFAS-free baking plates, and compatibility with older models.
Packaging also receives our full attention. In a sector where plastic or styrofoam is often used, we strive for alternatives: FSC cardboard, pulp trays, and paper-based details instead of plastic.
To stay on top of trends, we collaborate with young thinkers through a Millennial Board and engage in dialogue with students. They inspire us with fresh perspectives on sustainability, packaging, and HR policies.
The future: we are ready to further embrace circularity, reduce our CO₂ footprint in production and transport, and adopt the new packaging legislation and digital product passports.
At FRITEL, we want sustainability not to remain just plans on paper, but to be felt in every appliance, every package, and every decision.
