  • Always fill the measuring spoon completely and always use liquid waffle batter
  • Always wait until the green indicator light comes on before adding the dough to the waffle maker.
  • Never open the waffle maker before you hear the sound signal.
  • Open the appliance slowly so that the waffle does not fall out. Remove the waffle with a special U-shaped fork. Insert this fork into the side of the waffle. In this way, you will not damage the non-stick coating of the baking plates, nor will you damage the waffle.
  • With soft waffles, it is advisable to place a plate under the appliance to catch the waffle.
  • If you find that your waffles do not come off easily, you can rub a little oil on the baking plates (only for each first baking)
  • For some waffles frech yeast is used. in this case, timing is of the essence since yeast takes time to have its effect but gets exhausted if you wait too long. So, when you are using fresh yeast, make sure you are done within one hour (especially with waffles of Brussels)

The Proof of Purchase is of crucial importance to determine the date of purchase and hence the start date of your guarantee. Further the guarantee is only valid for the first user and this cannot be proven without the proof of purchase.
In most cases the dealer keeps a copy of the proof of purchase so you probably can still obtain it through your store.

Professional use, improper use, claim, wrong use, not following the user guidelines, a second hand appliance, an appliance which has been opened or modified by an unqualified third party, normal wear. Also, if you do no longer dispose of the proof of purchase your appliance cannot be repaired under warranty.

Go to www.fritel.com and click `Extended warranty`
Or surf directly to friends.fritel.com/warranty

All FRITEL appliances fall within the legal warranty period of 2 years.
For all fryers in our standard Starter, Family and Chef assortment, you will have the possibility to extend the guarantee of your device to 10 years FOR FREE, within a period of 45 days as of date of purchase!
How? Click on the button `Extend your warranty` on www.fritel.com.

The legal guarantee obliges the seller to repair or replace the appliance for free in the first 6 months after purchase, if there appears to be a technical defect which cannot be blamed on improper, wrong, user claim of non compliance with the user guidelines of the consumer. The consumer cannot chose between repair or replacement.

  • Belgium + Luxemburg : Only the dealer is responsible for the legal guarantee. He cannot simply transfer you to the manufacturer.
  • The Netherlands : The consumer can choose who to address himself to : the dealer or manufacturer.
  • Germany : The dealer is responsible for repair or replacement of the defective repair.
  • France (same as BE) : Only the dealer is responsible for the legal guarantee. He cannot simply transfer you to the manufacturer

The guarantee covers the reparation time and/or the free replacement of parts, that are considered defect by our technicians AND where the defect is caused by material-, construction-, or manufacturing errors. In order to qualify for this guarantee you will need at all times your proof of purchase.
1ste 6 months vs after :
When a dealer is confronted with a defective device, he is held by law to repair or exchange the appliance without expenses., only if the consumer appeals to him/her in the first 6 months after delivery/purchase. In that case the dealer is only obliged to repair/replace the device if he cannot proof that the defect is due to improper use, misuse, not following guidelines,... claim,...
After 6 months :
As from the 7th month after delivery to the consumer this changes. If the consumer then returns his appliance the consumer needs to prove that the defect was already there from the delivery/purchase, he can no longer automatically be held to a repair/replacement without charges. It is up to the consumer to proof that the defect already existed at the time he received the appliance. In reality this is not so simple. Especially because the consumer has used the device during 6 months without any issues. If the consumer cannot deliver proof of this defect since delivery, the dealer is no longer obliged to repair or replace the defective device without expenses. In that case, he can charge the customer with repair costs.

Your warranty starts on the day of purchase and is valid for 2 years.
The user is responsible for cleaning and proper packaging of the defective appliance before presenting it for repair. It is insufficient to wrap the device in cardboard packaging with paper. Fritel is not liable for damage resulting from insufficient packaging, which also irrevocably invalidates the warranty.

Determination of warranty:

  • The warranty covers every repair and/or replacement of the parts recognized defective by our Department of Service after Sale if the damage is due to faulty design, material or construction.
  • The warranty is only valid for the first/original user.
  • The transport costs, in case of reparation, are at the expenses of the purchaser.
  • The warranty is only granted after presentation of your purchase invoice.
  • The warranty cannot be invoked for normal wear and tear.
The warranty expires automatically in the following cases:
  • Incorrect connection, e.g. electric voltages.
  • Abnormal or professional use or misuse handling.
  • Lack of care and cleaning.
  • In case of insufficient packaging and bad transport in case of return shipping.
  • Modifications or repairs made to the appliance by persons not authorized by us as a manufacturer.
  • When reference numbers have been altered or been removed.
  • For faults not due to the appliance itself, but to an external cause, collision, damage, fire, earthquake, flood, lightning, etc.
  • When not respecting the instructions in the user instructions.
For appliances that are not under warranty for any of the above reasons, all costs (transport, administration, research, handling) will be charged.

The guarantee covers the repair time and/or the free replacement of spare parts, that are considered defect by our technicians AND where the defect is caused by material-, construction-, or manufacturing errors.

The handy spout on both the left and right makes it easy to change the oil.

Fondue is a very cosy way of dining with friends or family. Unfortunately this also involves some odours from the heated oil, from what is being baked or cooked. To prevent this as much as possible, place a few bowls filled with vinegar around the dining room, preferably on a radiator. The vinegar neutralizes the odours. Another solution against these odours is ground coffee. Put a few cups of ground coffee in your living room to absorb the smell.

Let the fondue pot run with cold water and detergent. Let it rest and soak for half an hour. Wipe the cheese remnants from the fondue pot with kitchen roll afterwards so that the stubborn stains have gone. Then wash the fondue pot in hot suds or in the dishwasher.

Never put too much meat at once in the fondue pot. This way you prevent the oil from spattering extensively. Never spill water or alcohol in the oil. Anyway put some paper napkins on the table for the spatters.

Place the appliance in the middle of the table
Make sure the appliance is stable
Never leave the appliance unattended
Only use oil that is suited for fondue
Tape the cable of the fondue appliance to the table-leg and the floor.

Never use frozen foods! If you use thawed foods, first dab off the excess liquid. This prevents spatters when water comes into contact with oil.

There are different kinds of fondue. Our fondue appliances are suited for all sorts, so Chinese fondue as well as fondue Bourguignonne, chocolate fondue, cheese fondue, ... Evidently you don`t make them all at the same temperature.
For Chinese fondue or Shabu Shabu you use stock and for the most famous fondue Bourguignonne you use oil. Anyway always use an oil that easily withstands high temperatures such as grapeseed oil, special fondue oil (usually with herbs in the bottle).

  • Fully dismountable
  • Non-slip feet
  • 3-fold protection against overheating

Once the heating element warms up to high temperatures and makes contact with the oil decolouration kicks in. it`s perfectly normal and unavoidable.

It is possible that some fat or oil have deposited on the sliding bracket as a result of which the electrical installation can not be placed far enough on the sliding bracket. Therefore, an electrical connection is not possible for your fryer and it will not work. The solution is simple: degrease/clean the sliding bracket thoroughly and mount the electrical installation again.

The Turbo SF® has 3 safeguards against overheating:

  • Thermostat
  • Micro switch
  • Fail safe

  • Fully dismountable
  • Depending on the fryer`s material, parts may or may not be cleaned in the dishwasher:
    • Stainless steel deep fryer: Stainless steel mantle, stainless steel lid, stainless steel tub can be cleaned in the dishwasher or of course in hot soapy water.
    • Plastic deep fryer: plastic jacket and plastic lid, stainless steel tub can be cleaned in the dishwasher or of course in hot soapy water.
    • Lacquered metal deep fryer: This material must NOT be put in the dishwasher. Only clean with hot soapy water. Discolouration may occur in the dishwasher as a result of the aggressive detergents.
  • Click System for easy cleaning of the tub rim
The resistance of the fryer hangs directly in the frying oil. You do not have to wait long, in no time the oil reaches the desired temperature. What`s more, the frying residues sink into the Cold Zone and do not burn. The frying oil lasts up to 3 times longer.
`Cool

All oils with the mention for frying are suited to fry with.
Preferably choose vegetable frying oil, like groundnut oil, rapeseed oil, corn oil or sunflower oil.
Palm and soybean oil are less appropriate for frying because even though they are both high temperature resistant, both oils are high in saturated fats.
Both for taste and health frying fat needs to be replaced regularly. Its time for clean oil when the oil turns darker and syrupy and when it starts smelling strongly. This is on average after eight to ten frying sessions.<br />Always use good quality oil. Dont buy any inferior oil, there it degrades much faster than good quality oil.
If you have a FRITEL fryer with Turbo SF® System you can also fry with frying fat.

It is a compact fryer so you can use it to fry small portions of fries, croquettes or snacks. It can serve as a handy second deep fryer.

An anti-dust lid only serves dust-free storage of the deep fryer. Under no circumstances should this anti-dust cover be placed on the fryer during heating, baking and cooling. The oil must always be completely cool.
A filter lid may be placed on the fryer during heating, baking and cooling.

The red reset button will not pop out until the fryer goes to safety.

You will find the serial number on the back of the appliance, on the FRITEL sticker in the cable compartment. Depending on the model you have, the serial number is:

  • OR a number consisting of 4 digits (2 digits / 2 digits).
  • OR an EAN code / barcode consisting of 15 digits.
`Production

An anti-dust lid only serves to store the fryer dust free. Under no circumstances can this anti-dust lid be placed on the fryer while heating, frying or cooling down. At all time the oil needs to be cooled down completely.
A filter lid may well be placed on the fryer while heating, baking and cooling down.

Wrong or too old or damaged oil.

  • Wrong oil: Not every oil is suited to use heated
  • Too old oil: Outdated frying oil or already too much fried with
  • Damaged oil: Certain ingredients make frying oil instantly useless like herbs (paprika, parsley, ...), bacon, onion, ...
  • Replace the oil in all of the case above.

Not enough frying oil.
  • Please respect the min. level in the tub. It is indicated in the tub with a line and the word MIN next to it.
  • Top up the oil above the minimum level.

The handle of the basket has not been pushed backwards far enough or the handle of the basket is too loose. In the first case: apply a little force on the handle, pull it back all the way so that it stays put. This way it cannot fall down anymore. In the second case it is best to take the handle of the basket and bend the legs a little more in order for them to close more tightly. Next attach the handle back to the basket and stretch it back again until it stays put.

  • The frying oil contains a lot of water: alimentations consist of water for a great deal. This goes as well for fresh products as for frozen ones. Fresh potatoes consist for 75% of water.
During the first frying session they lose about 65% of this water, which means that this water ends up in the oil, where it sinks to the bottom (Cold Zone). The Cold Zone however warms up slightly and reaches 100°C. At that moment the water turns into steam which has a lower specific weight than water. Hence your oil may start bubbling and boiling over. Our patented Turbo SF® System precludes the phenomenon of dangerous splashes under the condition of normal use of your fryer.
HINT: Always dry off your fries thoroughly before frying them
HINT: Shake off frozen fries in a sieve first to remove excess ice.
  • The frying oil is due for replacement: if the oil is (too) dirty it can also start bubbling or boiling over. Replace the oil in that case. It doesn`t suffice to partially add clean oil.
  • The frying basket is too full: the quantity of fried goods that fits in your fryer is determined by the volume of your fryer. We recommend you never exceed more than 150 grams of fried goods per liter capacity.

To avoid bringing your appliance to your retail store unnecessarily check the following 4 things yourself first:

  • Is the appliance mounted correctly?
Behind the housing there are two sliding brackets. They are vertical synthetic brackets that connect the housing to the control panel. If the control panel isnt applied correctly on the sliding brackets the fryer wont work. This is for your own safety.
  • Has your fryer jumped to safety?
For your safety the fryer turns itself off sometimes. The fryer can however be put into operation again by pressing the RESET button. This RESET button is located at the back in the cable storage and is red.
  • Does the tub fit ok?
The tub needs to be placed in the housing with the side with the notch faced to the control panel.
  • Are the sliding brackets intact?
One of both sliding brackets has a stop pin that puts the fryer into action electronically every time you mount it. If this stop pin has broken the fryer will not work. In that case contact your retail store with the details of your fryer (purchase date, fryer model, production date, ...). These details are retrievable in the cable storage at the backside of the fryer.
If it is none the above defects, contact your retail store.

For starters remove the power plug from the electrical outlet and let the fryer cool down completely before dismounting the fryer. First remove the basket, then the control panel with heating element and finally the tub.
NEVER plunge the control panel in water or any other liquid. Only cleanse it with a moist towel.
Depending on the material of the fryer the parts may or may not be cleaned in the dishwasher:

  • Stainless steel fryer: stainless steel housing, lid, tub can be cleaned in the dishwasher or of course in hot soapy water.
  • Synthetic fryer: synthetic housing and lid, stainless steel tub can be cleaned in the dishwasher or of course in hot soapy water.
  • Lacquered metallic fryer: this material may NOT go in the dishwasher. Only clean with hot suds. In the dishwasher there could be decolouring as a result of aggressive detergents.

The frying basket can be cleaned in hot soapy water with a dishwashing brush. Never let the basket soak in the soapy water in order to avoid oxidation.
To clean your fryer easily, quickly and safely we recommend using the FRITEL cleaner for fryers. Fill the tub of the fryer with hot water over 40°C and add about 10 caps of FRITEL cleaner for fryers. Let the product work for about 20 minutes and empty the tub afterwards.
Rinse thoroughly and dry off with a soft cloth. Your tub looks as good as new! The FRITEL cleaner for fryers is based on natural enzymes and therefore it is environmentally friendly, bio-degradable and NON-toxic. The FRITEL cleaner for fryers can also be used on all surfaces, i.e. lacquered metal, synthetics, stainless steel...

For an optimal result with crispy fried fries we recommend to use the following max. quantities:

  • Frozen fries: max. 150 gr per liter oil
  • Fresh fries: max. 100 gr per liter oil

Furthermore keep in mind that certain products will destroy your fat completely, like paprika, parsley, bacon, cheese. Finally oil of inferior quality will often be cheaper, but this will also much quicker need replacing.
That depends on different things. Firstly the time to replace the oil (or frying fat) depends on what you are frying. If you only fry fries your fat will last much longer then when you fry cheese croquettes, crunchy meatballs, satays, ... We recommend to replace the frying oil (or the frying fat) after about 10 frying sessions.

This is possible if your FRITEL fryer has a Turbo SF® System. You can then melt the fat in the fryer directly. How do you do this? Divide the block of solid fat in little pieces and spread them directly and evenly on the heating element (and so not in the basket). Turn the thermostat onto the position for melting solid fat and wait until all the frying fat has melted. Choose the desired frying temperature only when all the fat has melted completely. When the indicator light has gone out the desired temperature has been reached and the fryer is set to fry.
After frying the fat will automatically become solid again. Thereafter always use the fat melting position first until the solid fat has melted completely and only then set the desired temperature.

Put a sheet of aluminium foil in the appliance and pour some water over it. Next slice a lemon in layers and put this on the aluminium foil. Set the temperature at 180°C and put the timer on 10 minutes. The stayed behind grease that causes the smell gets liquefied and caught up in the aluminium foil.

The most frequently used potatos for fries are floury potatos (so called because of their high starch content). The most famous of those is the Bintje.
Other types of potatos, suited for fries, are i.a. Agria, Première, Santé, Victoria, Astrix, Fontane, Markies, Ramos.

Below you find the designated temperatures and frying times for frying the most common products. Of course the designated times are purely indicative. After all the frying times can vary strongly depending on the product.

Set the thermostat at 190°C, even if the packaging often indicates a lower temperature. If you set a lower temperature, it will take longer, the fries will be greasier and therefore less crispy. Always make sure that NO ice ends up in the oil. You can prevent this by sifting the fries so that the ice gets separated from the fries to put them in the basket afterwards. Also never let the fries get defrosted before frying them.

Baking real Belgian and fresh fries always happens in two steps:

  • The pre-frying (hereby the fries become cooked): set the fryer to 150°C-170°C (depending on the season and the type of potato) and let the frying oil come to heat. Once the control light goes out you let the fries fry for about 5 minutes (depending on the thickness of your fries). Get the basket with fries out of the fryer and leave it next to the fryer for a couple of minutes or put them in a bowl.2. The final frying (hereby the fries become beautifully golden brown and crispy): set the thermostat button to 190°C and let the frying oil warm up. Wait until the indicator light goes out and fry the fries a second time for about 3-4 minutes (depending on how brown you like them), and put them in a bowl with some absorbing paper towel under them.

A few tips:
  • Always use oil which is suited for hot preparations and appropriate for high temperatures. Preferably use frying oil of high quality.
When you have a FRITEL fryer with Turbo SF® System, you can also fry with frying fat.
  • NEVER leave the basket with fries hang over the fryer after the first frying session for else the fries will become limp.
  • NEVER fry two different products at the same frying session. So no fries and croquettes together.
  • Replace the oil (or the fat) after about ten frying sessions.
  • Fill the basket up to two-thirds MAXIMUM. Bigger portions give a less crispy result.
  • Shake the fries frequently so that all sides can get respectively cooked and crispy.

You can not only deep-fry with the appliance, but also cook, grill and roast. The grill pan, grill grid and baking tin are separately available.

One can, but best use the grilling rack, available separately, so that both ingredients are separated and can get baked together nicely.

If you bake fresh fries you better put the freshly cut fries in cold water for some 30 minutes. Then you put the fries in a bowl (certainly not the basket or the drawer) and add a spoonful of neutral oil (suited for hot preparations), like for instance groundnut oil. By adding some oil the fries get a nice colour and they get crispier. Adding oil doesn`t have to but it gets tastier and crispier of course.

  • Grilling pan for grilling fish, meat and vegetables.
  • Grilling rack to double the baking capacity. For instance put vegetables and potatoes in the basket and the meat on the grilling rack.
  • Baking mould, ideal for cake, crumble, quiche, lasagne

SnackTastic uses Hot Air Technology. There is hot air circulating the ingredients. If you shake the ingredients (e.g. fries or snacks) while baking you make sure the air reaches all the surfaces of the ingredients. This way everything gets baked nice and even and everything gets a nice colour as well.
Beware: Don`t press the unlocking button of the basket while shaking!

One surely can. If you open the drawer the appliance stops immediately. So you can easily open the drawer for a while and look what stage your dish is at.

Preheating is not necessary but the appliance does need time to reach the desired temperature for the baking process to start. Without preheating the preparation usually takes a little longer than prescribed on the packaging.

You get the best result if you use oven snacks or oven fries. These are maid especially for preparations with hot air and get a nice crispy colour. Using normal frozen snacks and putting them in the SnackTastic they do get cooked but they keep looking pale. You could at hand spray the snacks with an oven atomiser. Then you get a better result. But the best are the oven snacks or oven fries.

The drawer and the basket are dishwasher proof. Beware if damages arise at the drawer or basket because of use (wear and tear). These are not covered by warranty but constitute wear. The drawer, basket and many other accessories can be reordered anytime. The accessories that you can by with the SnackTastic are also dishwasher proof (grilling pan – rack – baking mould) and the same conditions apply as far as wear is concerned.

When you put the electrical plug in the outlet a red light will appear automatically. Put the thermostat on position 5 or 6. Wait until the green control lamp lights up (the red light will always stay lit) before putting ingredients on the grill. For a fast heating you should keep the appliance closed.

The removable baking plates are dishwasher proof and therefore can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Once in a while oil the plates for a long sustainability.

To put the baking plates in the appliance conveniently you better stretch the appliance wide open by pushing the unlocking button on the right side. Then position the baking plates first with the pins and then with the clip bracket.

Allow the appliance to cool down completely. Use the clip hook to loosen and remove the plates. The baking plates may be cleaned in the dishwasher. If you wash the baking trays by hand, NEVER use hard dishwashing brushes but use a soft cloth.

Never use frozen foods! If you use thawed food, first dab off the excess liquid. Otherwise you will not get a good baking result.

Always allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning. The base of the appliance can be cleaned with a damp cloth. The baking plate can be washed by hand with warm water and detergent. NEVER immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. The teppanyaki may NOT be cleaned in the dishwasher.

This is possible if no moist precipitation can get on the device and if the cord is checked regularly.

Place the freezing bowl in the freezer (-18 °C) for at least 8 to 12 hours before preparing the ice cream.

Let it run until it reaches the desired consistency. This usually takes 30 to 40 minutes.

No, this device has got an overheating safety protection.

Always allow the freezing bowl to reach room temperature before cleaning. All parts, except the motor unit, can be cleaned in warm soapy water. Always dry them carefully. Do not clean the parts in the dishwasher. Never use abrasives. Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid. It can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Never add more than 850 ml of mixture, as the volume increases during the preparation process.

Minced meat, home-made sausages, hamburgers and steak tartare. With the additional attachements supplied, you can also make your own Kibbeh: these are traditional meatballs from the Middle East. They are made with a mixture of bulgur and minced meat and are deep-fried afterwards.

Never use the appliance for more than 10 minutes at a time. The appliance is intended for domestic use, not for professional use.

All parts, except the motor unit, can be cleaned in hot soapy water but are NOT dishwasher safe. Clean the parts immediately after use and dry them. Rub the grinding chamber with vegetable oil and then wrap them in greaseproof paper to prevent discoloration/rust.
TIP: to prevent residue in the grinding chamber, always pass a slice of bread through the grinding chamber after using the meat mincer.

If the device is blocked, press the reverse button (REV). The worm screw  will turn in the opposite direction and release the blocking part. If you cannot remove the blockage with the reverse function, switch off the unit. Unplug the appliance and only then take it apart (repeat the various steps of assembling the meat office If you cannot solve the problem with the reverse` button, take the appliance to an authorised repair shop or sales point.

The storage compartment at the back of the motor unit is suitable for storing the grinding plates. The pusher is suitable for storing the sausage and kibbeh attachments.  The storage compartment at the bottom of the motor unit is suitable for storing the electric cord.

The hand blender can be used to mix soups, sauces and purees.

The blender stick can be cleaned in hot soapy water but it is not dishwasher safe. Clean the motor base with a damp cloth, NEVER immerse it in water..

The appliance has 4 functions:

  • Aperitif snacks: goat`s cheese with bacon, mini pizza, bruschetta, ...
  • EMain course: cheese gratin, gratin dauphinous, ...
  • EDessert: crème brûlée
  • EGrilling plate: small pieces of meat or fish, grilling vegetables or bruschetta

The parts are not dishwasher proof. However, the appliance does have a removable heat reflector so that it can easily be cleaned with a damp cloth.

The Himalayan salt stone will become thinner as it is used and will therefore need to be replaced over time. You can grind the remains and use the salt up to the last grain as cooking salt.

A salt stone is not a utility product, but a consumable product, because it consists entirely of edible salt. Unfortunately, therefore, this is not covered by any guarantee.

Due to the heat, the natural stone or salt stone expands, causing small cracks to appear. This is a natural phenomenon and does not affect the proper functioning of the unit.

A natural stone or salt stone must NEVER be placed in the dishwasher.

You can buy the salt stone for a Fritel appliance separately from your electronics dealer or order it on www.fritel.com. Reversible baking trays are also available for all appliances, so you can immediately add 2 new functions to the same appliance for a modest price.

Attention: Never allow the salt stone to cool under cold running water. If the temperature difference is too great, the salt stone may crack or break. Attention: Do not leave the salt stone under running water for too long, it will dissolve.

From the first use, the natural stone or salt stone becomes darker in colour. This is perfectly normal for a natural stone.
The salt stone is a porous stone, which absorbs the juices and marinades of what you bake and will therefore take on a different/darker colour. This does not prevent subsequent use and the stone will still produce the desired effect. If the stone has become too thin, there is no need to worry, because then you can grind the remains and use the salt to the last grain as cooking salt.
And of course you can continue to use your appliance with a new salt stone or with your reversible baking plate for endless raclette fun.

An evening of gourmetting and racletting is great fun, but unfortunately it also involves some odours from what is being cooked. To prevent this as much as possible, place a few bowls filled with a little vinegar in the living room, preferably on a radiator. The vinegar neutralises the smells. Another solution against these odours is ground coffee. Put a few cups of ground coffee in your living room to absorb the smell.

If you prefer harder ice, you can let it harden further in the freezer in a storage box.

Never use the device for more than 10 minutes at a time. The appliance is intended for domestic use, not professional use.

Dismantle the knife regularly to remove the scraps behind the knife. Grease the sprocket and the knife regularly with some petroleum jelly, especially after cleaning the knife.

In any case, when not in use, completely close the knife and unplug it from the wall socket so that children cannot hurt themselves.
Fold the all-purpose slicer every time it is not in use. This way, children can never touch the sharp blade.
Set the carriage in the childproof position and lock the carriage in front of the knife so that the knife is not accessible at all to curious children`s hands.

The device may overheat if used continuously for more than 10 minutes or if you put too much force on the device when cutting.

Only smooth knives can be sharpened. Toothed or serrated knives cannot be sharpened.

Allow your bread to cool completely before slicing. Fresh, warm bread will crumble easily.

The service life and the sharpness of the knives strongly depend on the price. The higher the price, the better the quality of the knife. This is expressed both in the material used and in the method of production of the knife (punched, sharpened, ground from hardened steel,...).
Of course, what you cut with it and the intensity of use also affects the life of the blades. So it is very difficult to determine an overall life span.

Don`t apply too much force to the device and to what you want to cut. Let the machine do its job. If you use too much force, the machine can deform, cut into the carriage or the engine can become overloaded.

SL3855 TWIN includes 2 knives: a meat knife and a knife for frozen products.

Make sure that the freezing bowl is always put into the freezer completely dry. By putting it in a closed plastic bag, you can prevent the formation of ice crystals in the bowl

Slow Cooking is slowly cooking dishes at a low temperature, without or with very little fat. This results in pure, intense flavours releasing and fusing all the aromas in an optimal way. Aromas and herbs come to their full advantage. Slow Cooking is very suitable for cleaning up your refrigerator, half a courgette, a tomato, some parsley too, ... throw it all together, exquisitely delicious every time.

Thanks to the slow heat distribution in the ceramic pot nothing will boil over and nothing will burn. You do need to keep the lid on at any time though, or else all the liquid evaporates and yet a risk at sticking or burning rises.

The Slow Cooker is ideal for dishes that need to cook for a long time. Just think about stews, soups, sauces, ... Even the toughest meat will become super tender thanks to the slow cooking.

The most recipes with raw meat and vegetables take about 6 to 8 hours on the LOW position or 4 hours on the HIGH position.

Meat that is being cooked in the Slow Cooker doesn`t turn brown. If you wish it did then first bake the meat in a separate pan and put it in the Slow Cooker next. Leave herbs and spices whole where possible. This gives more aromas. Use the WARM position to keep preparations warm at the right temperature. Rice, pasta and noodles are not suited to cook for long. Preferably cook them apart and only add them during the last 30 minutes.

Yes, remove the lid as less as possible during the cooking. Opening it will slow the cooking process. Always use an oven glove to take the lid off and always do this slowly turning away from yourself to let the steam escape carefully.

Water or moisture in the Slow Cooker doesnt evaporate like with cooking traditionally. Do you rely on your standard` recipe then reduce the amount of fluids used. Exception: soup and rice. Afterwards you can always still add extra fluids if necessary. However if the preparation is too moist at the end of the cooking time remove the glass lid and turn the thermostat button to HIGH. Subsequently leave it boiling for 30 minutes.

Besides all kinds of soup (mixed soup, chunky soup, minestrone) you can prepare delicious smoothies, purees and compotes (only with SB2950) in the Soupmaker. Beware: not suited for dough.

Wash the blender can and the mixing bar with hot suds. NEVER plunge in water. Clean with a soft sponge or a soft cloth. BEWARE: the knifes are very sharp! Dry all parts thoroughly after cleaning and store them in a dry place.

You can and are allowed to put them in the dishwasher- however, we recommend to clean them in hot water with detergent.

The CW 24 series baking plates consist of solid cast aluminium, free of PFOA.
The baking plates of the new WaffleTastic® 36 series also consist of solid cast aluminium, but these have a ceramic coating making them PFAS-free.

In the past waffle makers only used to have an On and Off button. This way the waffles couldn`t be defrosted, heated or (in case of grilling plates) kept warm. Thanks to the lower settings this is actually possible now.

The removable baking plates are dishwasher proof and therefore can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Once in a while oil the plates for a long sustainability.

When you put the electrical plug in the outlet a red light will appear automatically. Put the thermostat on position 5 or 6 - with the WaffleTastic® you open the thermostat all the way as it is stepless. Wait until the green control lamp lights up (the red light will always stay lit) before adding the dough to the waffle maker. This goes for the first waffle. As of now you can keep on baking.
For a fast heating you should keep the appliance closed.

You can adjust the clip bracket, which is made of hardened steel, a little. It doesnt do any harm and it cant ever become distorted or broken.

Allow the appliance to cool down completely. NEVER use hard dishwashing brushes, but use a soft cloth and soapy water. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. The baking trays can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.

The best recipes, perfectly suited to the FRITEL Top Fill Waffle Maker, can be found on the recipe page of FRITEL using the search term WA 2224

Let the applicace cool off entirely. Moisten a soft cloth in warm water with some detergent. Wring out the cloth thoroughly and rub the plates clean. Never use dischwashing brushes, as these can damage the non-stick coating of the baking trays. The rest of the appliance can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Before you start baking waffles it is recommended tot grease the baking plates slightly with a little bit of oil. You can do this with some paper towel or with a clean silicon brush. Hint: Use our silicon brush with reservoir. Afterwards the greasing is unnecessary unless you burn the waffles. In that case remove the baking first.

Baking waffles is like pastry: everything needs to be measured precisely and carefully.

Use an ice cream scoop (mostly for vanilla waffles) to put your dough on the baking plates quickly and easily.

Close the appliance immediately after putting the dough on the baking plates. This will make sure both sides of the waffle are the same colour.

Always hold on to the necessary baking time! If the appliance is opened earlier there is a big chance the dough will stick to the baking plates.

In case you are using pearl sugar make sure to clean the baking plates regularly, because the pearl sugar will caramelize during baking. Use paper towel or a silicon brush to prevent the non-stick coating from getting damaged.

Sieve the flower before use to get a lump-free dough.

For the best batter only use ingredients at room temperature.

Do not use any dough straight from the refrigerator to bake, either. Get it out of the refrigerator in time so that it is at room temperature.

For some waffles fresh yeast is used. In this case, timing is of the essence since yeast takes time to have its effect but gets exhausted if you wait too long. So, when you are using fresh yeast, make sure you are done within one hour. (Especially with waffles of Brussels)

The chances of success at every recipe depend on many things. Every small change can have an impact on the end result. So always follow the recipe strictly. As a result not every deviation of taste, colour or result can be interpreted as a technical default of the appliance.

The European legislation for waffle makers has changed a lot in recent years. Because of this there are among others stricter rules concerning the temperature on the lid. It is therefore possible and likely that the baking time is a little longer than with old-fashioned waffle makers. But the end result is still the same. The most delicious waffles in the world, self-made!

Take the waffle out of the waffle maker with a special u-shaped Fritel waffle fork. This waffle fork is inserted horizontally inside the waffle. This way you won`t damage the non-stick coating of your baking plate. The waffle comes out of the appliance whole. Let the waffle cool down on the grid afterwards.

After baking sugar waffles youve got baking plates that are caked with caramelized sugar. This sugar sticks to the plates persistently. Theres a neat trick for this. To get it all cleaned up again you have to make a pulp of cornflour and water (mostly cornflour). As your last waffle bake a cornflour waffle with the pulp. This last cornflour waffle absorbs all the remainders and your baking plates are perfectly clean again. Of course you mustn`t eat this waffle.

  • You didn`t grease your baking plates before baking the first waffle
  • You opened the waffle maker too early and/or repeatedly
  • You didn`t follow the designated recipe
  • You might be using a recipe with insufficient butter or oil

Baked waffles can be frozen without a problem. Soft waffles should be kept in a plastic box with lid. Crusty wafers are kept in a closed tin box.

After the set temperature has been reached, the cable can be disconnected and, thanks to the practical handles, your plate can easily be moved.

The appliance only needs 15 minutes to warm up. The dishes then stay warm for 2 hours.

The appliance has a continuous control knob from 20°C to 130°C.

The top plate is almost unbreakable because it consists of tempered glass.
