Ingredients

1 kg semolina
250 gm butter
a pinch of salt
4 tsp powdered sugar
water
450 gm crushed dates
2 tbsp orange blossomwater
1 tsp cinnamon
1 kg honey

Preparation

Melt the butter and mix it in a bowl with the flour, salt and powdered sugar.
Always add a little lukewarm water and knead into a firm, non-sticky dough. Let it rest for a few minutes.
In another bowl, mix the crushed dates, cinnamon, and orange blossom water.
Take some of the date paste and make a long string of about 1 cm wide.
Roll out the dough (elongated) and place the date paste on top.
Fold the dough until it is closed and press it lightly.
If necessary, roll it back and forth and press flat again.
Now cut the dough into small cookies.
Bake in the SnackTastic® at 170 degrees Celsius until golden brown.
Roll them in the honey afterwards.
