Popcorn in the SnackTastic® Airfryer

Ingredients

  • 50 g unpopped corn kernels
  • ½ teaspoon oil (optional, for extra taste and colour)
  • Pinch of salt or other seasoning of your choice (e.g. paprika powder, cinnamon, caramel, cheese powder…)

Further needed

  • Small oven dish or aluminium tray that fits in your airfryer
  • Lid of aluminium foil with a few small holes (to prevent it from flying around)
  • FRITEL SnackTastic® Airfryer

Preparation

Preheat the airfryer to 200°C and let it warm up for 2 to 3 minutes.
Mix the corn kernels with the oil (optional) and place them in a small oven dish or aluminium tray.
Cover it with aluminium foil and poke a few small holes to let steam escape, but keep the popcorn inside.
Place the tray in the airfryer.
Let the popcorn pop for about 8–10 minutes.
Do not open the drawer too often, just let it work calmly.
As soon as the popping slows down, it’s ready.
Carefully remove the popcorn from the airfryer and season with salt or another spice mix of your choice.

Tips

Variation tips:

  • Sweet: Add some icing sugar or cinnamon sugar after popping.
  • Spicy: Use chili powder or cayenne pepper.
  • Cheesy flavour: Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese or cheese powder.
