Heart-shaped waffles



450 gm patisserie flour (sieved)
250 gm butter (melted) 
200 gm fine sugar 
125 gm almond powder
150 ml water
1/2 packet of baking powder (10 gm)
1 packet of vanilla sugar 
3 eggs


Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites.
Whisk the egg yolks, then add sugar and vanilla sugar and continue whisking. Then add the melted butter and continue whisking. Then add the flour, baking powder and water and stir until smooth. 
Whisk the egg whites in a separate bowl and carefully fold this under the mixture with a spatula, together with the almond powder. 
Take your FRITEL waffle iron with the heart-shaped waffle plates, set the thermostat to 4 to 5 and allow the waffle iron to pre-heat. 
Put the dough in the waffle iron, close the waffle iron and let it bake for +/- 2 minutes.


Delicious with some whipped cream and hot cherries.
