Sugar waffles / Liege Waffles (4x6)

Ingredients

750 gm flour 
2,7 dl lukewarm milk
23 gm dried yeast 
3 whole eggs and 2 egg yolks
15 gm salt
10 gm of vanilla sugar
400 gm soft butter
450 gm pearl sugar

Preparation

Add all the ingredients in one bowl, except for the butter and the sugar. Mix the ingredients with the FRITEL Hand Blender. 
Allow this dough to rest for half an hour, covered with a towel. 
In the meantime let the butter soften, add the butter to the dough and knead the dough into a smooth mass. 
Then add the pearl sugar and split in small portions of more or less 100 gr.
Let these small balls rest for 15 minutes. 
Take your FRITEL Combi Waffle Maker, insert the baking plates for waffles 4x6, and preheat the appliance. 
Depending on the dough you have prepared and your personal taste, you will have to choose the correct temperature setting. This will also influence the baking time.

Tips

Recommended baking time: 5-6 min per waffle on position 6.
Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature. 
Before you start baking it is advisable to grease the baking plates with a little bit of oil, even if they are covered with a non stick coating. 
To avoid lumps in your dough, it is better to sieve the flour before use. 
Frequently clean the baking plates with some kitchen roll paper, since the pearl sugar will caramelize during the baking. 
Use the FRITEL waffle fork to remove the waffles easily from the appliance. 
Allow the waffles to cool down on a grid.
