Crispy chickpeas

Ingredients

  • 400 g chickpeas (drained and well-dried)
  • 2 tablespoons flour (or cornstarch for extra crispiness)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Preparation

Pat the chickpeas dry with a cloth.

Mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

Add the chickpeas and toss until fully coated.

Heat the fryer to 180°C and fry the chickpeas in batches for 4–6 minutes.

Drain on paper towels, sprinkle with additional salt or spices, and serve warm.
