Apple cake



3 small apples
3 eggs
150 gm sugar
150 gm soft butter
200 gm self-rising flour
2 tsp vanilla sugar
1 tsp gm.ated lemon zest
2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt


Peel the apples and cut into small pieces. Add the cinnamon and mix. Clean the lemon and lightly grate the zest. Whisk the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until it becomes a frothy, light yellow mixture. Now add the eggs 1 by 1. Make sure that they are well mixed before adding the next one. Sieve the flour with the salt and fold it through the batter. Now add the apples.
Heat the SnackTastic® to 160 °C. Grease your baking tin and dust it with a little flour to allow for an easy extraction of de cake. Put the cake in the basket and bake for about 45 minutes. To check whether the cake is cooked, stick a skewer in it. If it comes out clean, the cake is done. If not, give it a few more minutes.


You can finish the apple cake it with a scoop of ice cream.
