Crispy waffles



250 gm melted butter
20 gm vanilla sugar
4 eggs
500 gm self-rising flour
375 gm sugar


Beat the eggs, the sugar and the vanilla sugar with the FRITEL Hand Blender. Add the melted butter. Add the flour and mix till you have a smooth mixture.
Cover with a moist towel and leave the mixture to rise for ca. 2 to 3 hours.
Take your FRITEL waffle maker, insert the waffle plates and heat up. Depending on the dough you have prepared and your personal taste, you will have to choose the correct temperature setting. This will also influence the baking time.


Recommended baking time:
heart shaped waffles: 2,5 to 3 minutes on stand 6
4x6: 3,5 minutes on stand 6
4x7: 1,5 to 2 minutes on stand 6
Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature.
Before you start baking it is advisable to grease the baking plates with a little bit of oil, even if they are covered with a non stick coating. 
To avoid lumps in your dough, it is better to sieve the flour before use. 
With the FRITEL waffle fork you can easily remove the waffles from the plates.
Allow the waffles to cool down on a grid.
