Heart Shaped waffles with caramalized cookies

450 gm pastry flour (sieved)
250 gm butter (melted)
200 gm fine sugar
200 gm gingercookies
150 ml water
1/2 packet ofvanilla sugar
3 eggs

Preparation:15 min.
Quantity of waffles: +/- 25
Conserve in plastic box
Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites.
Beat the egg yolks, then add the sugar and the vanilla sugar and beat some more. Then add the melted butter and beat some more. Then add the flour and water and mix until you have a smooth mixture.
Whip the egg whites in a separate bowl.
Brake the ginger cookie in pieces and put them in a blender. Mix until you have small crumbs.
Mix the ginger cookie with the whipped egg whites to the mixture.
Take your FRITELWaffle Maker with the baking plates for heart shaped waffles, turn the thermostat into position 4 to 5 and heat up your Waffle Maker.
Insert the dough in your Waffle Maker, close the Waffle Maker and bake for +/- 2 min. 30sec.


For a distinct ginger cookie taste you can add some extra ginger herbs to the mixture.
