Cheese fondue with brie

Ingredients

300 gm Brie
1 tbsp cornstarch
30 ml brandy
5 cloves of garlic
1 dl (dry) white wine
2 dl (whipping) cream
Salt and pepper
Baguette, ciabatta, waldkorn or any other tasty bread

Preparation

Cut of the crust off the brie. Cut the brie into pieces and mix the brandy and the cornstarch in a cup.
Press the cloves of garlic above the fondue pan and add the wine and the cream.
Bring the mixture to a boiling point and then turn off the fondue appliance. Add the brie and the brandy mixture to the wine in the fondue pan and stir until the cheese has melted. Then season with pepper and salt. Turn the fondue appliance on again (the mixture must not boil anymore!). Stir for about 2 minutes. Serve with pieces of bread. Use a fondue fork to dunk the pieces of bread into the cheese mix.

Tips

Serve the fondue with a fresh baguette, raw vegetables or apple slices.
