Apple Roses

Apple Roses

Ingredients

  • 1 large rectangular sheet of puff pastry

  • 2 large apples

  • juice of half a lemon

  • apricot jam

  • cinnamon powder

  • powdered sugar

  • silicone muffin molds

  • air fryer

Preparation

Cut the puff pastry into 5 to 6 strips of approximately 25 cm long and approximately 5 cm wide.

Cut the apples in half and carefully remove the core. Slice into thin pieces.

Place the apple slices in a pot with cold water and lemon juice. Bring briefly to a boil until the apple slices are pliable.

Spread the puff pastry strips with jam.

Arrange the apple slices horizontally (with a slight overlap) next to each other along the entire length at the top of the puff pastry (with the apple skin facing up). There should be enough space left to fold over the remaining part of the puff pastry.

Sprinkle some cinnamon powder over the apple slices.

Fold the free part of the puff pastry over the apple slices as if tucking them into bed. Then carefully roll up the strip into a rose and place it in a silicone muffin mold.

Repeat until all ingredients have been used.

Place the roses in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 170°C.

Serve warm, lukewarm, or cold with powdered sugar as a finishing touch.
