Traditional Belgian Vanilla Waffles

Ingredients

250 gm self-rising flour (sieved)
250 gm pastry flour (sieved)
500 gm butter (melted)
500 gm fine sugar
2 packs of vanilla sugar
8 eggs
Pinch of salt

Preparation

Preparation time: 15 min.

Conserve in plastic box
Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites.
Beat the egg yolks, then add the sugar and the vanilla sugar and beat some more. Add the melted butter and a pinch of salt and beat some more. Then add the flour and beat until you obtain a smooth mixture.
Whip the egg whites in a separate bowl and carefully mix this through the mixture.
Take your FRITEL Waffle Maker with the 4x7 or 6x10 waffle baking plates, turn the thermostat to position 4 to 5 and allow the Waffle Maker to pre-heat.
Put the dough in the Waffle Maker, close the Waffle Maker and bake for +/- 2 minutes.

Tips

If you leave your waffles for some time, they become more soft and they are even more delicious!
Use an ice cream scoop to easily insert the dough in the baking plates.
